The locker kit includes a robust design featuring various attributes aimed at providing secure, reliable, and quiet operation. It is equipped with a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings utilize mortis and tenon construction, reinforced with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures a secure closure, and the strikes are padded to minimize closing noise. The recessed handle offers a smooth, catch-free front, safeguarding padlocks from tampering. Latching channels are fitted with nylon glides to reduce noise during use, and the double-tier locker incorporates a 2-point latching system at the top and bottom. The addition of legs increases the height by 6 inches, although anchoring the lockers to the floor and/or wall is recommended for safety. The product features a durable powder coat finish, and it is noted that effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers are uniform in color throughout. Other finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will utilize common champagne color parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and an additional charge.
