Penco lockers with recessed handle in a single tier design are ready to assemble and include a variety of features that ensure secure, reliable, and quiet operation. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering, and all door openings employ mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. The continuous door strike ensures a secure closure, while padded strikes dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models feature a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. The latching channels include nylon glides to minimize sound during use. These single tier lockers are equipped with a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and sides, adding 6 inches to the height) and it is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. Additionally, the lockers come with a powder coat finish for durability. Effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a uniform color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature the same color consistency. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian lockers will include common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available with longer lead times and additional charges.
