The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe to prevent the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. Each door opening is constructed using mortise and tenon techniques with spot welding for enhanced rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes feature padding to reduce closing noise. Both single and double tier models come equipped with a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels utilize nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. The single tier lockers feature a 3-point latching system located at the top, bottom, and sides. Additionally, the lockers have legs that add 6 inches to their height, and it is recommended to anchor them to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers also feature a durable powder coat finish. As of March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout the unit, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also have a uniform color. Other color finishes in the Vanguard and Guardian lines include common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available but may require longer lead times and incur additional charges.
