The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings are constructed using mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes are padded to dampen noise when closing. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Additionally, latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound when opening or closing the locker. This double tier locker is designed with 2-point latching (top and bottom) and includes legs that add 6 inches to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for enhanced safety. The locker is finished with a durable powder coat. Effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color-finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while gray color-finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature a uniform color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian lockers will have common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available with longer lead times and at an additional charge.
