The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet operation. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering or removal of the hinge pin. All door openings utilize mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity, while the continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and padded strikes help to dampen closing noise. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering, and latching channels incorporate nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. This double tier locker is equipped with a 2-point latching system (top and bottom) and includes legs that add 6 inches to the height. For safety, it is recommended to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall. The locker features a durable powder coat finish, with effective color options available. Please note that as of March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature a uniform appearance. Other color finishes will have common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors can be obtained with longer lead times and an additional charge.
