The kit includes lockers designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use, featuring a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering. All door openings are constructed with mortise and tenon joints reinforced by spot welding for enhanced rigidity. The continuous door strike ensures secure closure, while padded strikes reduce closing noise. Both single and double tier models are equipped with a recessed handle that provides a smooth, catch-free front, protecting padlocks from tampering. Latching channels incorporate nylon glides to minimize sound during operation, and single tier lockers utilize a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and sides), with legs that add 6 inches to the height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers have a durable powder coat finish, and starting from March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout. Gray color finished Vanguard lockers available for quick shipping share the same color throughout, while other finishes will have common champagne color body parts. Single solid colors are available but come with longer lead times and an additional charge.
