The kit includes a variety of features to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe to prevent the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, while the strikes are padded to dampen closing noise. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels incorporate nylon glides to reduce sound during operation. This double tier locker features 2-point latching (top and bottom) and legs that add 6 inches to the height. It is recommended to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The powder coat finish is available in various colors, with a note that effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers retain consistent coloring throughout the structure. Gray color finished only quick ship Vanguard lockers are also uniformly colored, while other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common champagne color body parts. Single solid colors are available but with longer lead times and an additional charge.
