The kit includes a range of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use, with a right-hand butt hinge recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering. All door openings utilize mortise and tenon construction with spot welding, enhancing rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, while padded strikes dampen closing noise. Single and double tier models incorporate a recessed handle for a catch-free front, protecting padlocks from tampering. Latching channels equipped with nylon glides minimize sound during operation. The single tier lockers feature a 3-point latching mechanism (top, bottom, and sides) and have legs that add 6 inches to the overall height. It is advised to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall for added safety. The lockers come with a powder coat finish, and as of 3/01/2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain consistent color throughout. The gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature uniform color, while other colors in the Vanguard and Guardian lines have common champagne color body parts. Solid single colors are available but require longer lead times and incur additional charges.
