This locker kit includes a variety of features designed to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe to prevent the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction, with spot welding for added rigidity. The continuous door strike guarantees secure closure, and the strikes are padded to reduce closing noise. Single and double tier models come equipped with a recessed handle that facilitates a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels utilize nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. These single tier lockers incorporate a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and sides) and have legs that add 6 inches to the height. For safety, it is recommended to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall. The lockers are finished with a durable powder coat. Additionally, as of March 1, 2021, the champagne color finish for Vanguard and Guardian lockers remains consistent throughout the locker, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also maintain uniformity. Other color finishes may include common champagne colored body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and an additional charge.
