The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. Each door opening incorporates mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure while padded strikes help to dampen closing noise. The single and double tier models come equipped with a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels utilize nylon glides to minimize sound during operation, and the single tier lockers offer a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and sides). The height is increased by an additional 6 inches when legs are included. It is recommended to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall for enhanced safety. The product features a durable powder coat finish, with variations in color availability; specifically, effective from March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers share the same color throughout. Other color finishes in the Vanguard and Guardian lines will feature common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and at an additional charge.
