BSC Preferred's™ Series industrial roof exhausters are engineered for general ventilation and the removal of smoke and fumes, prioritizing lower cost and reduced maintenance. This unit features a robust steel curb cap with a spun venturi section designed for efficient airflow, and comes standard with cast aluminum spark-resistant propellers, making it suitable for hazardous locations when paired with an explosion-proof motor. The butterfly damper section is constructed from mill galvanized materials, with damper blades that automatically open when the fan is energized and close weathertight when the unit is off; the dampers rotate on nylon bearings mounted on a stainless steel axle. The exhausters also offer optional accessories such as weatherproof non-fused disconnect switches, insulated roof curbs for both flat and pitched roofs, magnetic latches to secure damper section lids when the fan is off, and replacement damper sections.
