The Bluff® steel dock board with forklift tine notches features integral fork cut-outs for easy and safe maneuvering, allowing the forklift driver to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving the forklift seat. Its leading edge has twin notched holes for scooping the board without raising lifting loops or securing chains, enhancing safety and productivity in high-traffic dock operations. Constructed of all welded steel with an anti-skid diamond tread surface, the dock board includes tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. The board complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. It has a 10,000 lb capacity with an 11° bend on the truck end, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds up to 3 mph. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. Stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended. Refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The application height is up to 11" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 8.5" with electric forklifts or pallet jacks. Capacity accounts for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck.
