The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for safe and efficient maneuvering with integral fork cut-outs, enabling forklift drivers to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving their seats. This dock board features twin "notched" holes on the leading edge for easy scooping, enhancing productivity and safety during high-traffic operations. Constructed with all-welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, it ensures maximum safety during use. The dock board includes tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit, along with a safety stop on the underside that fits snugly between the truck and dock to eliminate shifting under load. Compliant with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, this dock board has a capacity of 20,000 lbs, featuring a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. It is important to note that the capacity reflects the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds not exceeding 3 mph. The width of the dock board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. It is advised not to use stackers or other narrow aisle loaders on the dock board. For refrigerated trucks, specialized dock plates are required. The application height is up to 7" above the dock for propane or gas forklifts and up to 5" for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
