Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for safe and efficient maneuvering, featuring integral fork cut-outs that allow forklift drivers to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving their seats. The dock board includes twin "notched" holes on the leading edge, facilitating easy scooping and movement without the need to raise lifting loops or secure chains, thereby enhancing productivity and safety in high-traffic dock operations. Constructed with all welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, it offers maximum safety. The dock board has tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, supporting a capacity of 20,000 lb. It features a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end, with the capacity being the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds up to 3 mph. The width of the dock board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. It is not suitable for stackers or narrow aisle loaders, and refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The application height can reach up to 9" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 7" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
