The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for efficient and safe dock operations, featuring integral fork cut-outs that allow forklift drivers to maneuver, set, and retrieve the dock plate without exiting the cab. It includes twin "notched" holes on the leading edge, enabling the driver to scoop and move the board easily. Constructed with all welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, this dock board provides maximum safety, while its tapered curbs help prevent tire damage and beveled ends ensure a smooth entry and exit. The safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2 and supports a capacity of 20,000 lb. It features a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck for a single shift at equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. The required width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. Note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders are not recommended for use on the dock board, and refrigerated trucks will require special dock plates. The application height capabilities are up to 11" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 8.5" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
