The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches features the Bluff® Speedy Board® design, incorporating integral fork cut-outs for safe and efficient maneuvering. This dock board allows forklift drivers to position and retrieve the dock plate without leaving their seat, enhancing safety and productivity in high-traffic dock operations. It includes twin "notched" holes on the leading edge, enabling easy scooping without the need for lifting loops or secure chains, minimizing risk during operation. Constructed with all welded steel and featuring an anti-skid diamond tread surface, the dock board ensures maximum safety while the tapered curbs protect against tire damage. Additionally, beveled ends facilitate smooth entry and exit, and a safety stop on the underside prevents shifting under load. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, supports a capacity of 20,000 lb, and has a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity rating accounts for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, suitable for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. It is important to ensure the width is 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. The board is not recommended for stackers or narrow aisle loaders, and refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The height application is suitable for up to 5" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 3" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
