The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches features an all welded steel construction and an anti-skid diamond tread surface designed to maximize safety. This dock board includes integral fork cut-outs for easy and safe maneuvering, allowing the forklift driver to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving the seat of the forklift. Its design features twin "notched" holes at the leading edge, enabling the driver to scoop the board and manipulate it without the need for raising lifting loops or securing chains. The board has tapered curbs to help prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. Additionally, a safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. This dock board complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2, with a capacity of 20,000 lb. It includes a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end, with the capacity being the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. The usable width is 6" less than the overall width, and the dock board's width should be 12" greater than that of the lift truck or load. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on the dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The height difference above the dock (HT) can be up to 7" with propane or gas forklifts and up to 5" with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
