The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches features an all-welded steel construction and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, ensuring maximum safety during operations. Designed for easy and safe maneuvering, it includes integral fork cut-outs that allow forklift drivers to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving their seat. The dock board has twin "notched" holes on the leading edge for effortless scooping and movement, enhancing productivity and safety in high-traffic cycle dock operations. It has tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock, preventing any shifting under load. This dock board has a 20,000 lb. capacity and features a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity represents the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck and is rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. The width of the dock board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. Note that stackers and narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board. Additionally, refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The height difference for application can be up to 11" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 8.5" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks. This dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2.
