The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it ideal for difficult angled parking situations where trailers cannot fully dock. It is designed to handle refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, constructed from all-welded steel for durability in high-traffic, multiple-shift environments. The dock board includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety, allowing trucks below dock level to use the board without reversing it. Fold-down lifting loops measuring 11"W x 4"H on 27" centers enable easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs help prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. The board incorporates one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend positioned 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Capacity ratings apply to the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck at equipment speeds up to 3 mph; stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width 6" less than the overall width. The height difference "Ht" refers to the elevation above the dock. The dock board supports a 14% grade for pallet trucks and electric forklifts and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts, with an application height of up to 7" above or 3" below dock level for propane or gas forklifts, and up to 5" above or 3" below dock level for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
