The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it ideal for difficult angled parking situations where a trailer cannot fully reach the dock, including refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. It has full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers, enhancing adjustability and safety. The board accommodates trucks below dock level without the need to turn it around and includes fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops on 27" centers for easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage, while the all-welded steel construction is designed for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. The dock board includes one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end, complying with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2. Its capacity combines the maximum pallet load and lift truck weight and is rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph; stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock is denoted as the ht" difference up, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade to gas-powered forklifts. Application height is up to 9" above dock or 3.5" below dock with propane or gas forklift, and up to 7" above dock or 3.5" below dock with electric forklift or pallet jack.
