Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side, providing added flexibility and safety, making it an ideal solution for challenging angled parking situations where trailers struggle to dock. This durable dock board is designed to accommodate refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. It includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins positioned on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety. The board allows trucks below dock level to utilize it without rotation and incorporates fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops on 27" centers for easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and protect forklift tires from damage. Constructed with all-welded steel, it is suitable for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks and includes one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and the lift truck, with a rating appropriate for equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board. The required width is 12" greater than the lift truck or load, while the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference (HT" difference up) represents the elevation above the dock. A 14% grade is applicable for pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas-powered forklifts. The application height accommodates up to 10" above the dock or 4" below the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8" above the dock or 4" below the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
