The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it ideal for difficult angled parking situations where trailers cannot properly reach the dock. It is designed to handle refrigerated trailers and overseas containers due to its full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety. Trucks below dock level can use the board without turning it around, while fold-down lifting loops measuring 11"W x 4"H on 27" centers enable easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. The dock board is constructed entirely of welded steel for durability in high-traffic, multiple-shift docks and includes one 7° bend positioned 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The rated capacity corresponds to the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck at speeds not exceeding 3 mph; stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. The height difference up ("ht") refers to the height above the dock. A 14% grade applies for pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade is applicable for gas-powered forklifts. The dock board supports application heights up to 11" above the dock or 4.5" below the dock when used with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8.5" above the dock or 4.5" below the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
