The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board is designed for difficult angled parking situations where a trailer cannot align directly with the dock, including refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. It features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers for increased adjustability. The board accommodates trucks below dock level without needing to be turned around and includes fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops positioned on 27" centers for easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. Constructed of all-welded steel, it is suitable for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks and includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Capacity reflects the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck and is rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph; stackers and narrow aisle loaders should not be used. The width of the board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference "up" refers to the height above the dock; a 14% grade applies to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas-powered forklifts. Application height ranges up to 7" above the dock or 3" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 5" above dock or 3" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
