The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for enhanced flexibility and safety, making it an ideal solution for challenging angled parking situations when a trailer cannot reach the dock. This dock board is capable of accommodating refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins on 2" centers that provide increased adjustability and security. Designed for trucks below dock level, the dock board allows for use without needing to be turned around. It includes fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops (on 27" centers) for easy forklift transport and positioning, while contoured curbs help prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. Constructed from all-welded steel for durability in high-traffic, multi-shift docks, the dock board comes with one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend located 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, and is rated for equipment speeds of up to 3 MPH. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and the width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock (HT) is a critical measurement, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade applicable to gas-powered forklifts. The application height can accommodate up to 10" above dock or 4" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8" above dock or 4" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
