The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side for enhanced flexibility and safety, making it ideal for challenging angled parking situations, including use with refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. This dock board includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety. It allows trucks below dock level to use the board without needing to turn it around. The design incorporates fold-down 11"W x 4-H lifting loops (on 27" centers) for easy forklift transport and positioning, while contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. Constructed from all-welded steel, it is suitable for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks and includes one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2. Note that the capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph. It is important to maintain a width that is 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock (HT") is crucial, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. The application height can reach up to 9" above the dock or 3.5" below the dock when using a propane or gas forklift, and up to 7" above the dock or 3.5" below the dock with an electric forklift or pallet jack.
