The Bluff® portable steel platform loading dock is designed to enhance freight handling capabilities without the need for extensive site work or concrete installation. This mobile dock platform is particularly useful in constrained spaces where a standard yard ramp cannot be used, allowing for efficient maneuverability during the loading and unloading of trailers. The unit is portable and can function as a free-standing loading dock when paired with a yard ramp in remote unloading locations. It can also be employed alongside multiple dock boards for transferring cargo between trailers or as a staging area for shipments. Versatile applications include placement in front of dock or railcar doors to accommodate simultaneous loading and unloading, serving as a portable work positioner in factories, or being configured without a curb to enable forklifts to make 90° turns into trailers. Constructed with a heavy-duty steel floor plate, the platform is engineered for forklift use and features 8" high curbs for added safety. It is crucial to specify the platform loading height at the time of order, with optional adjustable height platform legs available to accommodate height adjustments from 44" to 55" to meet various dock requirements. Custom platform sizes, optional forklift pockets, and platforms with an EZ-Pull edge of dock leveler (sold separately) can also be requested for tailored solutions.
