The Bluff® Speedy Board® aluminum dock board features welded aluminum curbs and forklift tine notches, making it a lightweight and easily maneuverable solution for low-to-medium volume dock applications using a pallet jack or forklift. Constructed from heavy-duty aluminum treadplate, this dock board boasts fully welded extruded aluminum curbs and safety restraint legs, providing maximum corrosion resistance and controlled spark production. The design includes beveled ends for smooth entry and exit, an 11° bend, and an 11" lip on the truck end, with options for customization available upon request. Each Speedy Board® comes with integral fork cut-outs for quick and safe placement with a forklift. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2, and has a maximum capacity that is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph; stackers and other narrow aisle loaders are not recommended for use on this dock board. The width of the dock board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, while the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock (HT") must be considered, with a 14% grade applicable for pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. The dock board accommodates application heights up to 4" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 2" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
