The Bluff® heavy duty steel dock board with lock pins facilitates easy and adjustable positioning between trucks and docks, featuring fold-down lifting loops that enable a forklift to transport and position the board. This durable dock board includes two 1" diameter positioning pins and two 4-position pin pockets on each side for precise and secure placement. Constructed with all welded steel, the dock board is designed for high traffic cycles and multi-shift docks. It incorporates one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend positioned 8" from the truck end, complying with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The capacity of the board is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with an equipment speed of 3 mph maximum. The width of the board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. Notably, stackers and other narrow aisle loaders are not suitable for use on this dock board, and special dock boards are required for refrigerated trucks. The application height can accommodate up to 7" above the dock or 3" below the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 5" above the dock or 3" below the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
