The Iko Shell Type Needle Roller Bearing, part# BA1620ZOH, features a 1" bore, 1-1/4" outer diameter (OD), and a 1.250" width. This bearing is constructed from an accurately drawn thin special steel plate and includes needle rollers, available with or without a retainer. Known for having the smallest sectional height and weight among needle roller bearings, these bearings exhibit relatively high load ratings. The version with a retainer is suitable for high-speed applications, as the retainer and thrust ring guide the rollers effectively. These bearings do not come pre-packed with lubricant, necessitating proper lubrication upon use. They are typically utilized with shafts that lack inner rings, and it is recommended to have a shaft surface finish of 0.2 μm Ra or less and a hardness of HRC 58 to 64. In cases where these specifications cannot be met, Iko inner rings should be considered. Due to their thin cross sections, the outer rings may experience deformation during heat treatment, and direct measurement of the outer ring is not advisable. Standard mounting dimensions should be used for shaft and housing diameters, with an outer ring width tolerance of +0 to -0.20 mm.
