Iko machined type needle roller bearings are designed without an inner ring and consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, featuring low sectional height and large load ratings. Most bearings are available with and without seals, with prepacked lubricant provided only for double sealed bearings (suffix UU). It is essential to apply proper lubricant during use, as these bearings are generally utilized with shafts lacking inner rings. It is recommended that the shaft surface finish be 0.2 MRA or less, and the shaft hardness fall within the HRC 58 to 64 range. In cases where these specifications cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
