The IKO machined type needle roller bearing features a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, designed without an inner ring. It boasts low sectional height and large load ratings, with options for designs that come with or without seals. Prepacked lubricant is included only in double sealed bearings (suffix UU), and proper lubricant must be applied for other types when in use. These bearings are typically employed with shafts that do not have inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less along with a shaft hardness of HRC 58 to 64 is recommended. If these conditions cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
