IKO machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, and are designed without an inner ring. They feature a low sectional height, large load ratings, and are available in both sealed and unsealed variants, with the exception that prepacked lubricant is not provided except for double sealed bearings (suffix UU). It is essential to apply the proper lubricant when using these bearings, particularly because they are typically used with shafts that do not have inner rings. For optimal performance, a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and shaft hardness within the range of HRC 58 to 64 are recommended. If these specifications cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
