Iko machined type needle roller bearing consists of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring, featuring low sectional height and large load ratings. Most bearings are available with and without seals, while prepacked lubricant is provided only for double sealed bearings (suffix UU); proper lubricant must be applied for other applications. These bearings are typically used with shafts that lack inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less and shaft hardness between HRC 58 to 64 are recommended. If these specifications cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
