The Idem 201005A KLP Guard Locking Switch is designed for robust position interlock detection for moving guards, featuring a standard release mechanism and operating at 110V with a 1/2NPT connection. This switch provides a locking mechanism that ensures the guard remains closed until the hazard is cleared. It is tongue-operated and can be affixed to the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards, delivering positively operated switching contacts with a tamper-resistant, hard-to-defeat key mechanism. Depending on the risk assessment of the application, the switch can operate independently to provide positively operated contacts compliant with EN60947-5-1 or in conjunction with dual channel safety monitoring relays, offering up to PLe category 4 compliance with ISO13849-1 or SIL3 per EN62061. Available in various materials and housing styles, this switch allows for complete flexibility of choice based on application needs.
