IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to comply with EN60947-5-3 and can be utilized following ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1 standards. These switches feature magnetic sensing with a wide sensing distance exceeding 12mm, offering high tolerance to misalignment. They function effectively from four directions and are suitable for extreme environmental conditions, including temperature and moisture variations. The devices are capable of volt-free high power switching of either 1A or 2A AC/DC and can operate independently for low-risk applications or be connected to a safety relay for enhanced safety levels. Designed for interlocking hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, IDEM switches are particularly beneficial in scenarios with poor guard alignment, high hygiene requirements, or the need for high switching capacity. When paired with dual-channel safety relays, they can achieve up to Ple/Category 4 to ISO13849-1. The switches support magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC 2A and come in a variety of housing options, including miniature, compact, wide, or barrel types. They offer dual channel safety output with 2NC and an optional 1NO auxiliary, and are available in plastic or stainless steel 316 for compatibility with food industry standards. Key attributes include high temperature stability (up to 80°C for plastic and 105°C for stainless steel), resistance to a range of organic and inorganic chemicals, and enclosure ratings of IP67 or IP69K, making them resistant to high-temperature hosing and detergent washdowns. The switches feature volt-free contacts capable of handling up to 230VAC 2A and 24VDC 2A (internally fused), and include industry-standard miniature designs with 22mm fixing centers, available with left or right cable points.
