IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to meet the rigorous standards of EN60947-5-3 and may be applied per ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1. These switches utilize magnetic sensing technology, enabling a wide sensing distance greater than 12mm and providing high misalignment tolerance after activation. They are functional from four directions, even in extreme temperature and moisture conditions. The switches offer volt-free high power switching capabilities of either 1A or 2A for AC/DC applications and can operate independently for low-risk applications or in conjunction with safety relays to achieve higher safety levels. Designed for interlocking hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, they are beneficial in situations requiring significant guard alignment tolerance, high hygiene standards—particularly in food industry environments subject to rigorous cleaning, and environments necessitating high switching capacity. When paired with dual channel safety relays, they can provide up to PLe/category 4 in accordance with ISO13849-1. Key features include magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC 2A, options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel-type housings, and a dual channel safety output configuration of 2NC (with an optional 1NO auxiliary). They are available in plastic or food-compatible stainless steel 316 materials, boasting high temperature stability up to 80°C for plastic and 105°C for stainless steel, alongside a wide switching distance and high resistance to chemical agents. The enclosure has an IP67 or IP69K rating, providing protection against high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown. Furthermore, they feature volt-free contacts rated up to 230VAC 2A and 24VDC 2A (internally fused), a miniature industry-standard design, and 22mm fixing centers with customizable cable entry points.
