IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to meet the requirements of EN60947-5-3 and are applicable as per ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1 standards. These switches feature magnetic sensing that allows for a wide sensing distance exceeding 12mm, offering high tolerance to misalignment. They are capable of functioning from four directions and are designed to operate in extreme temperature and moisture environments. The switches provide volt-free high power switching capabilities of either 1A or 2A for AC/DC applications, allowing independent use for low risk applications or connection to safety relays for enhanced safety levels. IDEM switches are suitable for interlocking hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, particularly beneficial in scenarios with poor guard alignment, high hygiene standards (such as in food industry settings), and environments requiring high switching capacity. When paired with dual channel safety relays, these switches can achieve up to PLE/category 4 compliance per ISO13849-1. Key specifications include magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC at 2A, dual channel safety output with 2NC (1NO auxiliary optional), and options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel type housings. They come in plastic or stainless steel 316, with a wide switching distance up to 12mm, high temperature stability up to 80°C for plastic or 105°C for stainless steel, and substantial resistance to various organic and inorganic chemicals. The switches are housed to meet enclosure protection standards of IP67 or IP69K and are capable of withstanding high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown.
