The IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to meet EN60947-5-3 standards and are applicable in accordance with ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1. Featuring magnetic sensing technology, these switches offer a wide sensing distance of greater than 12mm and are capable of high tolerance to misalignment, making them suitable for operation from four directions, even in challenging environments characterized by extreme temperatures and moisture. They provide volt-free high power switching capability of either 1A or 2A AC/DC, enabling standalone use for low-risk applications or integration with safety relays to achieve enhanced safety levels. These switches are designed to interlock hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors and are particularly beneficial in situations requiring poor guard alignment tolerance, high hygiene standards, or elevated switching capacity. When paired with dual-channel safety relays, they can achieve performance level e/category 4 as per ISO13849-1. Technical specifications include magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC 2A, options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel-type housings, and a dual channel safety output with 2NC and an optional 1NO auxiliary. They are available in either plastic or stainless steel 316 for compatibility with food industry standards, offering a wide switching distance up to 12mm, high temperature stability up to 80°C for plastic versions and 105°C for stainless steel, and a high tolerance to guard misalignment. The switches are also resistant to a variety of organic and inorganic chemicals and feature enclosure protection rated to IP67 or IP69K, ensuring functionality under high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown conditions. Volt-free contacts support up to 230VAC 2A and 24VDC 2A (internally fused), designed with a miniature industry standard configuration and 22mm fixing centers, available with left or right cable points.
