IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are engineered to meet the standards of EN60947-5-3 and are applicable as per ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1 guidelines. These switches feature magnetic sensing with a wide sensing distance greater than 12mm, ensuring high tolerance to misalignment, operating effectively from four directions in extreme temperature and moisture conditions. They offer volt-free high power switching capability of either 1A or 2A AC/DC, functioning independently for low-risk applications or connecting to a safety relay for enhanced safety levels. Designed for interlocking hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, these switches are beneficial in scenarios requiring poor guard alignment tolerance, high hygiene levels—such as in food industry environments subject to high-pressure cleaning—and high switching capacity needs. Utilizing dual-channel safety relays, they can achieve up to PLe/category 4 compliance to ISO13849-1. Key features include magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC 2A, options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel-type housings, dual-channel safety output with 2NC (1NO auxiliary optional), and material variations in plastic or stainless steel 316. They boast high temperature stability up to 80°C for plastic and 105°C for stainless steel, excellent resistance to a variety of organic and inorganic chemicals, and an enclosure protection rating of IP67 or IP69K, making them suitable for environments requiring high-temperature hosing and detergent washdown. Volt-free contacts support up to 230VAC 2A and 24VDC 2A, and the design adheres to industry standards with 22mm fixing centers, allowing for left or right cable point configurations.
