Idem's LPF-RFID and SPF-RFID non-contact coded switches are designed to ensure a high level of functional safety with exceptional anti-tamper coded activation. The coding utilizes both magnetic and radio frequency techniques, requiring both principles to operate safely. These switches are compatible with most standard safety relays, achieving up to PL e/category 4 compliance according to ISO 13849-1. Constructed from high specification plastic, they are suitable for various environments, including areas needing high-pressure cleaning due to contamination from foreign particles. Both models feature IP69K ingress protection and are suitable for Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) processes. The typical sensing distance is 14mm, offering wide tolerance for guard misalignment post-installation. The RFID sensing feature ensures a tamper-resistant operation when the actuator is within the switch's sensing range. The LPF-RFID and SPF-RFID switches are available in two types: Type 1 (LPF-M-RFID or SPF-M-RFID) offers coded operation by series, allowing any actuator to operate any switch, ideal for scenarios where unique door activation is not essential but benefits from RFID security features. Type 2 (LPF-U-RFID or SPF-U-RFID) provides unique coding with 32,000,000 distinct codes, factory set for applications requiring specific activation in environments with multiple interlocked doors and heightened security needs.
