The foot guards are metal shields designed to be worn over shoes for maximum protection of the entire foot, including the instep and toes, against falling, rolling, or flying objects, as well as accidental tool blows. They are engineered to withstand an impact of 75 foot-pounds and feature a large safety factor for additional protection. These foot guards fit any shoe size, with widths available in 5" (average) and 5-1/2" (large), and are lightweight for comfortable all-day wear. To ensure proper positioning, the guards include a rubber toe clip, a crossbar, and a choice of either a one-piece rubber strap with a tension buckle or a two-piece leather strap (LS) with a spring fastening device. Available materials include aluminum alloy and steel, both providing equal levels of protection. Standard models come equipped with a partial rubber sole and a rubber toe clip but can be upgraded with a steel toe clip (ST) as an option. These foot guards comply with federal regulations, providing protection that meets ANSI-Z41 standards.
