The foot guards are metal shields designed to be worn over shoes for maximum protection of the entire foot, including the instep and toes, against falling, rolling, or flying objects, as well as accidental tool blows. They can withstand an impact of 75 foot pounds and are designed with a large safety factor. The foot guards are compatible with any shoe type (no rights or lefts) and are available in 6" extra-large and 6-1/2" extra-large widths. They are lightweight enough for comfortable all-day wear. To ensure proper positioning, the design features a rubber toe clip, a crossbar, and comes with either a one-piece rubber strap with a tension buckle or a two-piece leather strap (LS) with a spring fastening device. Extra-large foot guards are made from aluminum alloy only, while standard foot guards include a partial rubber sole (rubber toe clip) with the option to substitute for a steel toe clip (ST). These foot guards are compliant with federal regulations and provide protection that meets ANSI-Z41 standards.
