The 3M 60440231961 paper sheet 426U measures 9" x 11" and features a 400 grit silicon carbide abrasive, making it suitable for a variety of applications including finishing, lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, varnish stripping, and use in cabinetry, custom woodworking, and millwork. This general-purpose abrasive sanding sheet is constructed on an A-weight, light paper backing and includes an anti-loading coating and open coat construction, which enhances its performance for finishing applications such as paint prep, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing. The silicon carbide abrasive is known for creating a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet products on painted metal and wood substrates.
