The 3M Stikit paper refill roll measures 3-1/4" W x 85" L and features a silicon carbide abrasive with a grit of 180. This open coat abrasive is designed for fast cutting and load resistance, delivering a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. The 3M Stikit paper roll 426U is compatible with various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock for high production environments. Its pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing enhances handling for sanding and finishing, ensuring the product is securely held during use and allows for quick and easy changeout when worn. This product is suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and preparation prior to staining or painting, along with clear coat dulling and bare wood sanding. Silicon carbide, known for its sharpness, is ideal for final finishing in white wood sanding; although it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it yields a superior finish.
