The 3M Stikit paper refill roll measures 3-1/4" W x 45" L and features silicon carbide with an 80 grit rating. This open coat abrasive, known as 3M™ Stikit™ paper roll 426U, is designed for fast cutting and load resistance, producing a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. It is optimized for various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and aiding high production environments. The Stikit™ PSA backing ensures secure handling during use and allows for quick and easy change-out when worn. This paper roll is suitable for a wide range of applications including general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation prior to staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. Silicon carbide is utilized for final finishing in white wood sanding due to its sharpness, although it does break down faster than aluminum oxide while yielding a superior finish. The ready-to-use 3M™ Stikit™ products come with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside for easy application onto a backup pad or hand pad, ensuring a clean removal that leaves the surface uncontaminated for the next sheet.
