The 3M Utility Cloth Roll measures 2" W x 50 yd and features P100 grit aluminum oxide, which offers a fast cut-rate and long life due to its tough, durable nature that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges. The cloth backing is light and J-weight for flexibility, allowing it to conform to circular edges, angles, or other contours, while P50 or P60 grades come with a slightly stiffer X-weight backing for more coarse sanding applications. The roll can be easily torn by hand to obtain the desired length for specific applications, and the cloth remains durable without tearing or shelling even when bent or rolled. Suitable for a wide range of materials, including ferrous alloys, the aluminum oxide abrasive is ideal for applications such as blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and rust removal. This product is applicable in industries such as marine, metalworking, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO).
