BSC Preferred's™ series wet environment explosion proof duct fans are specifically engineered for high moisture or contaminated airstreams, making them ideal for industrial parts washers to facilitate excess water vapor removal. These fans are also suitable for application in dry-off ovens, kilns, and low-temperature furnaces up to 375°F, provided a high-temperature package is included. The fans feature bearings housed in a sealed watertight chamber, safeguarded by a water slinger and shaft seal. Standard propellers are made of cast aluminum, with options for carbon steel and stainless steel propellers. The standard construction is rated for 225°F and can withstand up to 375°F with a high-temperature package, while a fabricated steel propeller is standard for temperatures above 275°F. The fans are available in 304 or 316 stainless steel construction, making them effective for harsh or contaminated environments. An adjustable motor base ensures the proper belt tension for maximum belt life, and the pulleys are constructed from rugged cast iron or turned steel. Motors are high-quality industrial-grade, available in both single-phase or three-phase explosion-proof configurations. Optional accessories include a belt guard, horizontal or vertical support brackets, a combination motor cover/belt guard, inlet or outlet guards, OSHA compliance features, companion flanges, an inspection door, horizontal support legs, epoxy or urethane coatings, an adjustable pitch motor pulley, and continuously welded flanges.
