These high-quality vacuum desiccators are designed to maintain a gastight environment, ensuring reliable dry storage or experiments over extended periods. They can sustain a vacuum level of 29 in.-Hg for more than 72 hours at room temperature, providing excellent vacuum integrity that minimizes maintenance needs. The units are equipped with a Viton® 3-way valve, which allows for consistent and uniform vacuum draw, vacuum release, or gas exchange. Vacuum level monitoring is facilitated by a built-in analog vacuum gauge located at the top of the unit. The high-quality silicone O-ring and specially designed locking ring enhance vacuum capability while virtually eliminating leakage. Additionally, the amber tinted UV blocking models effectively block 100% of UVA, B, and C light, protecting light-sensitive samples from damage or discoloration. Constructed from transparent polycarbonate, these desiccators are durable, easy to clean, and chemical-resistant, enabling quick visualization of their contents. A locking ring securely fastens the top and bottom halves when the vacuum is not in use, providing added convenience and safety during transport. A desiccant tray is included (desiccants sold separately), and the desiccators can be used with any vacuum source with a free air capacity of 1.5 cubic feet per minute (CFM) or greater.
