The synthetic rigid cell is an extended surface, medium to high efficiency filter featuring a high lofted ultrafine synthetic media that provides excellent dust holding capacity and, combined with its rigid construction, virtually eliminates dust particle unloading downstream of the filter. It is suitable for most commercial and industrial HVAC systems and serves as a replacement for pocket filters in conditions requiring a rigid filter or in high humidity environments such as commercial and industrial buildings and hospitals. The filter is available with MERV ratings of 10, 11, 13, and 15 in box-style and single header configurations with 6" or 12" depth galvanized steel frames. It can be used as a pre-filter or final filter depending on the application and is robust enough to withstand unfavorable conditions, especially in variable air volume (VAV) systems.
