The synthetic rigid cell is an extended surface, medium to high efficiency filter designed for use in commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including hospitals. It features high lofted ultrafine synthetic media that offers excellent dust holding capacity and a rigid construction that virtually eliminates downstream dust particle unloading. This filter is available in MERV ratings of 10, 11, 13, and 15, with box-style and single header options. It comes in depths of 6 inches or 12 inches and is constructed with a galvanized steel frame. This robust filter can function as either a pre-filter or final filter depending on the application, and is particularly effective in unfavorable conditions, especially in variable air volume (VAV) settings.
